About the Artist

I am a mosaic artist from Turkey, 

a land recognized as the cradle of history and mosaic art. Growing up in Ionia, the ancient coastal region of Anatolia, mosaics shaped the way I saw the world from an early age. 

Alongside my 40-year career in pharmacy, analyzing mosaic patterns and reading Rumi inspired my true calling—infusing love into glass and stone. My work draws deep inspiration from the ancient artistic revivals that once blossomed in Zeugma and Antioch.
In 1997, I made my home in Naperville, IL, where I have been bringing my own mosaic creations to life ever since.
Today, I share my passion by teaching adult mosaic classes and by creating custom, handcrafted stained glass artworks.

Who? Private or small group (max 3 people) classes, adults

Where? Classes can be held in my place or your home (Naperville area)

What will I make? Each student creates artwork that can bring home along with newly gained set of skills. 

How long is the class? One class lasts about 5hours and can be split into two separated days (3hrs and 2hrs). 

Do I need to bring anything?  No, all glass, tools and frame for the artwork is provided.

Is it for beginners? Most of the students started with zero skills and finished class with solid foundations for their independent work.

What will I learn? You will learn about tools used for cutting and shaping glass, types of glass, cutting techniques, and also a little bit of the long and colorful history of mosaics. You will bring home your own completed artwork, ready to be hung on the wall or given as a present.
